A seamless guest experience for a magical night.

Children's Magical Winter Ball is London's only family-friendly black-tie gala, raising funds for the Child Life Program at Children's Hospital, LHSC. I designed the full event experience across signage, auction materials, programs, tickets, and post-event sponsorship reporting.

The existing website and marketing materials lacked consistency and did not fully reflect the organization’s approachable, youth-focused mission. The goal was to create a more engaging and accessible visual experience that could better connect with younger audiences while maintaining credibility within healthcare and educational spaces. As a freelance designer, I supported the refresh through website design, brand development, social content, and supporting marketing materials.

How it was solved

The goal was to make guests feel like they had stepped into a fairytale the moment they walked through the door. Every piece, from registration signage to the event program, was designed to carry that sense of wonder while keeping the evening running smoothly behind the scenes.

Signage was developed for registration, wayfinding, silent auction areas, and guest information throughout the venue. The visual direction made the event easy to move through while keeping the atmosphere of the evening intact from arrival to close.

Sponsorship reports were created after the event to highlight partner recognition, event impact, and the value of sponsor support, giving partners a meaningful record of their contribution to the Child Life Program and the families it serves.

The Outcome

The design helped elevate Children's Health Foundation's signature gala into an event experience worth remembering, giving families a magical night and the event a presence worthy of its place in the community.
