Children's Health Foundation

Levelling up the next generation of fundraisers.

Miracle Mission is a fundraising initiative by Children’s Health Foundation where participants become “agents” and raise funds to support kids at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre. The program helps fund important resources like Child Life, Ollie the Therapeutic Clown, Music Therapy, and specialized equipment for sick children.

The existing website and marketing materials lacked consistency and did not fully reflect the organization’s approachable, youth-focused mission. The goal was to create a more engaging and accessible visual experience that could better connect with younger audiences while maintaining credibility within healthcare and educational spaces. As a freelance designer, I supported the refresh through website design, brand development, social content, and supporting marketing materials.

How it was solved

The visual direction leaned into the idea of “levelling up” to create an experience that felt playful, action-oriented, and easy to follow. The goal was to build a brand system that could guide youth fundraisers from introduction to active participation.

Brand Identity

I designed a full visual identity for the campaign, building on the mission concept through playful graphics, bold typography, and energetic design elements. The identity was created to feel fun and youth-focused while still connecting back to the larger purpose of supporting children’s health.

Onboarding

The onboarding experience was designed to help participants understand how to get involved and what steps to take next. Since Miracle Mission asks participants to register, receive fundraising materials, and begin fundraising online or offline, the design needed to make that journey feel simple, encouraging, and easy to act on.

Fundraising

Supporting materials were created to help young fundraisers feel prepared once they accepted the mission. The system was designed to make participation feel more guided and rewarding, giving youth the tools and confidence to start fundraising and share their efforts with others.

The Outcome

Most fundraising programs are built with adults in mind. Miracle Mission: Level Up was a chance to design something for kids, and by "gamifying" fundraising as a mission worth accepting, the campaign gave young participants a reason to show up, get involved, and make an impact.
