Evolving an established planning brand into a new era.
Monteith Brown Planning Consultants is an urban planning firm known for thoughtful, community-focused work across municipalities, land development, and public space planning. They came to me with a clear goal of building a brand presence that better represents the firm and the communities they serve.

How it was solved
After getting a clear picture of their goals, the work began with market research and a look at where competitors were positioned. From there, the direction was set around a visual language that felt contemporary and grounded without losing the approachability that defines the way Monteith Brown works.
With updated typography, colour, graphic elements, and logo variations, the system was designed to feel contemporary and credible while giving the firm enough flexibility to use it consistently across everything they present to clients.
The website was rebuilt from scratch, improving clarity, navigation, and the presentation of the firm's services and project work. The goal was a site that was easier to use, more approachable, and capable of attracting a wider audience than the previous one ever could.

The Outcome
Monteith Brown now has a brand that reflects the calibre of their work. The updated identity, website, and materials work together as a single system, giving the firm a stronger foundation for client-facing communication and a presence that can grow with them.
